Membership Committee:. Membership Chairperson, Cynthia Kelley, has sent out the membership renewal notifications. The response has been very gratifying. In a few short weeks we have received over $11,500.00 in membership renewals. If you have not returned yours, please consider doing so. The remarkable generosity of the citizens of Logan County help homeless pets to find forever homes. Thank you.

Development Committee: Cynthia Kelley has consented to chair our new Development Committee. In addition to fundraising, the Committee will be charged with moving the organization forward as committee members will develop a relation building program and solicitation strategies, set time frames, monitor progress and evaluate effectiveness of fundraising efforts. There are exciting events planned but we need volunteers to make them successful. You can e-mail Cynthia Kelley @ with interest and ideas. At the organizational meeting we reviewed a number of related service areas that are critical in having a successful fundraising program including – Prospect research Database management Gift recording and processing Special events planning and overview Donor relations Please consider where you feel you could best use your expertise in serving HSLC. We will discuss assignments at our next meeting on Wednesday, September 13, 6:30pm at the HSLC Shelter.

Animal Affairs Committee: The Animal Affairs Committee will be meeting the third (3rd) Saturday of every month at 1:00 PM at the HSLC Shelter. Anyone who is interested in serving on this committee, you are welcome to come to next meeting, Saturday, September 16, 2017. Cemetery Committee: Thank you to Don Peasley for becoming a member of the Cemetery Committee. His knowledge and support will be a great asset to the Cemetery.
