If you see this text, you will need to upgrade your flash animation program to the newest version. This is a free download from a trusted website, Macromedia.com

If the above link does not work, then please use this link: Macromedia.com
It will take you to the Adobe website, where you will see a "downloads" tab. Select "Get Flash Player" and click on the "download now" button. Same as the other link, be careful to uncheck the "yahoo toolbar" if you do not wish to install it. You do not need the "yahoo toolbar" for the flash animations to work on your computer.

FOREVER HOME
February 1, 2010
Chico
Chico, our very small and lively Chihuahua, has found a forever home. He joins a cat named Molly and two boys, a 9 year old and a 13 year old. The younger boy has wanted a Chihuahua for a long time and is learning as much about them as he can. Now, he gets "real life" experience as Chico's care is his new job... ..under the watchful eye of his mother.

FOREVER HOME
February 1, 2010
Princess
Princess, our blue heeler/Australian shepherd mix has also found a forever home. She joins a cat and six children. The children will change her name as soon as they can come to a consensus. Princess was barely in the front door when she was playing ball with one of the boys. She will not lack for attention and love.

FOSTER HOMES ARE NEEDED
The Humane Society of Logan County needs foster homes for dogs and cats. A shelter is planned when adequate funds are available, but at the present time, the only way HSLC has to “save” an animal is through the generosity of foster homes. The GOOD NEWS is that with the limited number of foster homes we have, HSLC has completed 52 adoptions in 2009. We almost doubled the total number of adoptions completed in 2008. The SAD NEWS is that we had no room for 42 dogs and 66 cats.

HSLC takes care of food, supplies, and medical issues. Foster homes provide love and training. Foster families take an animal into their home until a forever home is found.

If you are a family who loves animals, think about becoming a foster family for HSLC. Call Wanda Stevens at 217.737.4042 for more information on fostering and on adoption.

Hi! It's Pooches, I'm still here. Did you forget to call?  I have been waiting patiently, trying to imagine what it will be like to have that forever home.  I don't have to tell you how wonderful I am.  You know the story.  But I do want to say that I am ready to open my heart to someone who is ready to open theirs to me. Please call to set up a time we can meet!  I have been spayed, up to date with my shots, and microchipped.  Let's make this Valentines Day one to remember!
